This Sunday, students, faculty and members of the community gathered to honor what would have been Michelle Gardner-Quinn's 22nd birthday with a candlelight vigil on the UVM green.

The vigil was one of several held around the country, sponsored by friends and family of Gardner-Quinn.

Although almost four months have passed since her death, Gardner-Quinn's friends and family are making her absence known by holding numerous events to honor Michelle and raise awareness of violence against women.
